Nisha Postlethwaite - Jeweller on Lost and Found in the Lakes - The Long Lost Ring

The Gold Broken Ring after cleaning

In the Second Series of Lost and Found in the Lakes (Episode 3), shown on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, the detectorists search for a beloved ring that was lost on a football field in 1966 - a men’s engagement ring lost in 1966.

Amazingly, the gold ring is found after a long search by the team - however it is in pieces.

Jeweller Nisha Postlethwaite of Nisha Halo Jewellery in Ulverston, takes on the task to restore it back together on the programme.

Although Nisha Halo does not undertake jewellery repair jobs due to her capacity (Nisha designs and retails jewellery and hosts Jewellery Workshops) - this was a job she could not refuse for the wonderful couple who had lost it so long ago.

When Helen Skelton presented the ring back to the lovely couple, it was a very emotional scene. Well done to the Lost and Found Team for reuniting this ring with it’s owner.
